They are all peer-produced by either UK year 12 Nuffield Research Placement summer holiday project students or final year stage 4 MChem research project students from Chemistry at Newcastle University, under the supervision of Dr Peter Hoare, Outreach Officer and a former secondary school chemistry teacher with over 20 years experience in the classroom.
They have been produced in collaboration with three UK-based worldwide science research databases, i.e.
- The Cambridge Structural Database (CSD), curated by the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC);
- The Protein Data Bank in Europe (PDBe), based at the Wellcome Genome Campus, Hinxton, nr Cambridge, UK; part of the Worldwide Protein Data Bank (wwPDB) and also the European Molecular Biology Laboratory & the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI);
- LIPID MAPS, based at Cardiff University, UK.
